Free safety checks with a bicycle technician will take place on a first come, first served basis, regardless of advance registration. This is a popular event - we recommend arriving early to get a spot in line!
Registration is recommended - you’ll be the first to learn of event details or if the location or date changes due to inclement weather.
This event is presented in collaboration with the MIT Office of Sustainability, MIT Office of Campus Planning, MIT Police, and MIT Parking and Transportation.

Mechanics will provide full safety check-ups focusing on the drivetrain, braking system, air pressure, and the mechanical safety of all bearing related components.
Anyone with a specific need (i.e. changing a new tire and/or tube, wrapping bar tape, swapping pedals, etc.) can use their availability for these tasks. The remaining time, if any, will be used for adjustments of the rest of the bike. Anything that cannot be serviced will be addressed with the customer and the mechanics will provide the best course of action to have the issue resolved safely. -
All minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Responsible adults, please keep a close eye on your kids.
Photos and/or videos will be taken at this event.
