Midday Music and Soup

  • MIT Welcome Center 292 Main Street Cambridge, MA 02142 (map)

Registration recommended! You’ll be the first to learn of event details or if the location or date changes due to inclement weather.

Join us for a concert with The Fresh Pond Five, members of the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, and a delicious hot cup of soup from Souper Roll Up Cafe (on us, while supplies last!). To keep things sustainable, we encourage you to bring your own mug or bowl. If you do, you’ll get a special sweet treat!

  • The Fresh Pond Five is a wind quintet composed of musicians from the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, a near half-century-old community music organization dedicated to making great music accessible to diverse audiences. The quintet's members (Lisa Henske, flute; Ariel Fullmer, oboe; Allison Eck, clarinet; Jerry Blum, bassoon; Charles Williams, French horn) rehearse near Fresh Pond—hence the ensemble's name—and believe in the enduring aesthetic and energetic appeal of wind quintet music.
