Midday Music: Grooversity

  • Kendall/MIT Open Space 292 Main Street Cambridge, MA, 02142 (map)

Free and open to all.

Acclaimed percussionist and educator Marcus Santos leads the Grooversity ensemble of drummers in an engaging journey through the musical traditions of his native Bahia, Brazil’s first capital. The performance blends Afro-Brazilian rhythms, the powerful energy of carnival percussion, and contemporary Baile Funk, creating an experience that is both culturally rich and highly interactive.
