Meet a robotic dog with our friends from the NSF Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Interactions (IAIFI).
IAIFI Fellow Ge Yang and MIT undergraduate Alan Yu demonstrate how they have taught their robotic dog to run using reinforcement learning, which trains in a simulated environment through trial and error without explicit instructions for how to do so.
